Drawing Index is an experimental platform that gathers drawings from across contexts. It functions as an archive and a library, and at times as a site for education, experimentation, and graphic inquiry. It is an attempt to index drawing through a shared criterion, proposing new perspectives and systems for classification.
Its categories are not fixed. They are provisional and fluid, including works that are drawing and those that sit at its edges. We collect, arrange, test, and activate everything formed by lines, placing them within shifting frameworks. A line drawn on a cardboard box in the street and a master’s drawing in a museum can meet on the same plane.
While this archive indexes drawings, it also constructs connections between them, making their relationships visible.
드로잉 인덱스는 세상의 모든 드로잉을 모으는 실험적 플랫폼이다. 아카이브이자 도서관이며, 때로는 교육과 실험, 그래픽적 방법으로 작동한다. 하나의 기준을 통해 드로잉을 인덱싱하려는 시도이자, 새로운 시선과 체계로 드로잉을 다시 분류하고 제안하는 공간이다.
이곳의 분류는 고정되어 있지 않다. 임의적이고 유동적이며, 드로잉이면서 동시에 드로잉이 아닌 것들까지 포함한다. 라인으로 이루어진 모든 것들을 수집하고, 배열하고, 실험하고, 활용하며, 서로 다른 맥락 위에 놓는다. 길거리 박스 위의 선과 박물관에 걸린 거장의 드로잉이 같은 평면에서 만날 수 있다고 믿는다.
이 아카이브는 드로잉을 인덱싱하지만, 동시에 그 사이의 관계와 연결을 드러내는 구조를 만든다.
